A New York City festival in honor of Nicks, called Night of 1,000 Stevies,
began in 1991 and has grown larger each year. The festival inspired a 2001
film, Gypsy 83, about two fans who drive from Ohio to perform in the show. -
Appeared on SNL as a musical guest in 1983, performing “Stand Back” and
“Nightbird”. -
Stevie Nicks was parodied in the South Park episode Osama Bin Laden Has
Farty Pantsin which people mistake a goat for her, because her singing
vibrato sounds much like a goat. -
Steve Nicks was also parodied on SNL by Lucy Lawless in October 17
1998.
Lucy Lawless plays Stevie Nicks from the band Fleetwood Mac, and sings about Tex Mex specialties available from her restaurant “Stevie Nicks Fajita Roundup”.
