'Two Voices' kick off summer tour

Stevie Nicks and Don Henley performed together in concert on Friday night at the Wachovia Center in Philadelphia, kicking off the “Two Voices” summer tour. Henley was the self-proclaimed “opening act” of the evening.

As expected, Nicks’ concert set included familiar selections from her solo and Fleetwood Mac catalog. But the highlights of the evening were two previously unperformed cover versions (Bonnie Raitt’s “Circle Dance” and The Byrds’ “So You Wanna Be A Rock and Roll Star”) and the return of “Leather and Lace,” the ever-popular Nicks/Henley duet from 1981’s Bella Donna. Henley also sang backup on Nicks’ “Gold Dust Woman.”

Don Henley’s concert set also included fan favorites, such as “Boys of Summer,” “End of the Innocence,” and “Desperado.” Nicks sang backup on “Hotel California,” “New York Minute,” and “The Last Worthless Evening.”

The “Two Voices” leg of the tour continues through June 19, at which time Nicks will continue on with the Gold Dust Tour and Henley will perform shows with The Eagles.
