On Friday, Stevie Nicks performed onstage with Sheryl Crow at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY. Sheryl and Stevie performed “Strong Enough” and “Everyday Is a Winding Road,” with Peter Frampton joining and playing guitar on the latter song. (Peter Frampton opened for Stevie during her 1986 Rock a Little Tour.) After the performance, Sheryl and Stevie gave their longtime friend warm embraces.
During her induction speech, Sheryl acknowledged Stevie as an early influence on her musical development. “Stevie Nicks… I honestly would not be who I am without her, and I felt certain as a kid that because I could twirl a baton and have really long wavy blond hair that we were probably related somehow. I found my command of words through her imagery and her melodies.”
The induction ceremony is streaming exclusively on Disney Plus. ABC will air a performance and highlights special on New Year’s Day.
