Dolly Parton, Stevie Nicks record ‘What Has Rock and Roll Ever Done for Me’
In a new interview with USA Today, Dolly Parton dropped the title of her new track with Stevie Nicks, “What Has Rock and Roll Ever Done for Me.” “I had fun singing with Stevie (Nicks),” Dolly said in the interview. “It’s a song she wrote called ‘What Has Rock ‘n Roll Ever Done for Me,’ a cute little song.”
If the title sounds familiar, you may have stumbled upon Stevie’s Rock a Little-era demo on YouTube, where it’s called “What Has Rock and Roll Ever Done for You.” Given how many people have shared the demo over the years, perhaps something got lost in translation. Whatever happened, it’s exciting that “What Has Rock and Roll Ever Done for Me” was finally recorded!
Dolly Parton’s double album Rock Star” (with 28 tracks anticipated) is expected in late summer/early fall.
