Stevie Nicks inducted into Pollstar Hall of Fame

On Wednesday, Stevie Nicks was inducted into Pollstar’s Hall of Fame at the 36th annual Pollstar Awards in a special ceremony held at the iconic Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles.

[The 2025 Pollstar Awards] is a celebration of the past and present, with legends like Stevie Nicks, Barrie Marshall, Louis Messina and Gary Kurfirst getting recognized along with Chappell Roan, who ascended to superstardom last year and took home two awards during the ceremony, which featured appearances from Missy Elliott, Jelly Roll, Eddie Vedder, Bob Weir and John Mayer.

The Pollstar Awards inducted four new members into its Hall of Fame, including legendary artist Stevie Nicks. The iconic singer stopped by to thank everyone who has given her a safe space to get on stage and do what she does best. She also revealed that she has written seven new “autobiographical” songs that are “real stories of memories of mine of fantastic men.”

“I’m never at a loss for words, but I am a little bit at a loss for words right now,” said Nicks, who said she looked forward to being on the road this year. “… I’m going to have the best time ever because I know I have all of you, and I know you’re going to take really good care of me, and it doesn’t matter if I’m 77. It matters that I am protected and watched over and loved and that people give me their hearts.”  (Pollstar).

Stevie Nicks, a figure synonymous with rock music royalty, is set to receive another prestigious honor: induction into the Pollstar Live! Music Hall of Fame on April 16. This accolade celebrates her enduring and iconic contributions to the musical landscape. Nicks’ catalog boasts timeless classics that have resonated across generations, including the spellbinding tales woven into tracks like “Rhiannon,” the powerful angst of “Edge of Seventeen,” and the dynamic spirit of “Stand Back.”

A Career of Honors and Milestones

This induction further solidifies Nicks’ legendary status, following her unprecedented distinction as a two-time inductee into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. She was first honored in 1998 as a pivotal member of the quintessential band, Fleetwood Mac. Later, in 2019, she received a well-deserved second induction, this time recognizing her distinctive and electrifying career as a solo performer.

Beyond these inductions, Nicks and Fleetwood Mac achieved monumental success with their 1977 album, Rumours, which earned them a coveted “Best Album” Grammy Award. Nicks’ solo career, officially launching in 1981, proved equally compelling. Her debut solo album, Bella Donna, was an immediate commercial triumph, reaching Billboard Number One and achieving five-times platinum certification. This landmark album introduced enduring hits such as the Tom Petty duet “Stop Draggin’ My Heart Around,” the soulful ballad “Leather and Lace,” and the enduring classic “Edge of Seventeen,” showcasing her versatility and lyrical depth.

The Essence of a Music Legend

The remarkable longevity and success of Stevie Nicks’ career are fundamentally rooted in her unmistakable artistic identity. Her distinctive, smoky vocals, the poetic, introspective quality of her lyrics, and her captivating, theatrical stage presence have made her a global icon.
