Record Store Day 2023: Bella Donna Live 1981

Rhino is issuing Bella Donna Live 1981 for the spring edition of Record Store Day on April 22, 2023. The special release, limited to 10,000 copies, coincides with Stevie Nicks‘ current tour, which resumes in May.

Bella Donna Live 1981 features all of the broadcast tracks from Stevie’s concert at the Fox Wilshire Theatre in Los Angeles on December 13, 1981, the last night of the “White Winged Dove Tour.” Though 13 of 14 tracks originally appeared on NBC’s The Source for a special 1983 radio broadcast, “After the Glitter Fades,” excluded from the broadcast, makes its commercial vinyl debut on Bella Donna Live 1981. The concert was first reissued back in 2016 for the deluxe edition of Bella Donna. Two other songs that Stevie performed that night, “Think About It” and “Blue Lamp,” remain elusive.

Fleetwood Mac ‘The Alternate Collection’ slated for RSD Black Friday

Rhino will be servicing Fleetwood Mac – The Alternate Collection for the upcoming Black Friday edition of Record Store Day on November 25, 2022. The sets, available in CD and vinyl formats, compile the previously-released individual “alternate” releases into one tidy package.

The 6-CD edition of The Alternate Collection will be limited to 10,000 copies, while the 8-LP package will cap at 9,000. The LP version will include all eight records on colored vinyl, similar to the previous two Rhino limited-edition vinyl box sets (Fleetwood Mac 1973 and 1974 and Fleetwood Mac 1975 to 1987).

Record Store Day has turned out to be a successful way to support local, brick-and-mortar record stores and satisfy vinyl collectors, who clearly have a big appetite for exclusive releases, even if they are repackaged versions of previously issued material.

The Alternate Fleetwood Mac
On April 13, vinyl collectors will get another special Fleetwood Mac release this year for Record Store Day — The Alternate Fleetwood Mac. The limited edition vinyl release features a different cover and the early versions from the album’s 1975 recording sessions, which were released last year on the deluxe edition of Fleetwood Mac.

Happy Record Store Day!

April 22 is Record Store Day! Special vinyl editions of Stevie Nicks’ and Fleetwood Mac’s recent catalog reissues have been released for the special occasion.

Stevie Nicks Rarities features six tracks from the deluxe editions of Bella Donna and The Wild Heart; while Fleetwood Mac’s Alternate Mirage compiles 12 different studio takes from the 2016 deluxe edition of Mirage. Record Store Day initially reported that Rarities would be pressed on 10″ vinyl, but both releases turned out to be issued on standard 12″ vinyl.

Rarities will be limited to 5000 copies and Alternate Mirage, 6500 copies. Get both releases from participating stores or independent sellers on eBay.

Stevie Nicks Rarities (pressed on 10″ vinyl) features tracks from the deluxe CD editions of Bella Donna and The Wild Heart; while Fleetwood Mac’s Alternate Mirage culls tracks from the 2016 deluxe edition of Mirage. Rarities will be limited to 5000 copies and Alternate Mirage, 3500 copies.
