Laura Littleton, Ross Clayton cover ‘Stop Draggin’ My Heart Around’

On Monday night’s The Voice Battles, Laura Littleton and Ross Clayton performed “Stop Draggin’ My Heart Around” by Stevie Nicks and Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. The two aspiring singers, coached by Niall Horan, did a great job with the duet. But what did the judges think?

Chance the Rapper said he had never heard of the iconic duet, a comment that launched Kelly Clarkson out of her chair. “It’s one of the biggest duets!” she exclaimed in disbelief. But Chance praised the cover, saying “the whole thing top to bottom was amazing.” Kelly, who has covered the song herself on her talk show, thought it was perfect for Ross and was impressed with Laura’s “intoxicating vibrato.” Blake Shelton thought the pair had delivered a “rock-solid vocal.” It was a tough call, but Niall went with his gut and chose Ross in the end.

Adam Pearce, Whitney Fenimore cover ‘Stop Draggin’ My Heart Around’ in The Voice Battles

On last night’s episode of The Voice, contestants Whitney Fenimore and Adam Pearce took on the mighty task of covering Stevie Nicks and Tom Petty’s “Stop Draggin’ My Heart Around” for Week 7’s “The Battles.”

    ABC News Review:

The final pairing of the night was Team Adam’s rockers Adam Pearce and Whitney Fenimore, covering “Stop Draggin’ My Heart Around” by Stevie Nicks with Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. Levine’s advisor, Joe Jonas, was blown away by the duo, saying, “I’d go see that concert anytime.” After the performance, Blake praised Pearce’s “classic rock and roll sounding voice,” but leaned towards Whitney. Jennifer and Miley gave Adam the edge. Coach Adam awarded the round to Pearce, who advances to the knockout rounds.

Whitney wasn’t done though. Both Blake and Miley both fought to steal the singer, with Miley arguing that she turned around for her during the blind auditions, and Blake trying to capitalize on their shared Oklahoma roots. Whitney — with some egging on from Levine — chose Miley as her new coach.

Chloe Kohanski rocks ‘The Chain’ for The Voice blind auditions

Channeling Stevie in a dramatic white-winged-dove-esque fringe jacket, Chloe Kohanski rocked Fleetwood Mac’s “The Chain” during Monday night’s blind auditions on The Voice.

Chloe’s husky-voiced performance earned chair turns from three of the four coaches — Miley Cyrus, Jennifer Hudson, and Blake Shelton. After deliberating a bit, Chloe chose Miley as her coach. Revealing that she “kind of aspired to be like Stevie,” Miley may have influenced Chloe’s decision ever so slightly.
