Over My Head

You can take me to paradise
And then again you can be cold as ice

I’m over my head
(Over my head)
Oh, but it sure feels nice

You can take me anytime you like
I’ll be around if you think you might love me, baby
(Over my head)
And hold me tight

Your mood is like a circus wheel
You’re changing all the time
Sometimes I can’t help but feel
That I’m wasting all of my time

(Over my head)
Mmm…

Your mood is like a circus wheel
You’re changing all the time
Sometimes I can’t help but feel
That I’m wasting all of my time

Think I’m looking on the dark side
But every day you hurt my pride

I’m over my head
(Over my head)
Oh, but it sure feels nice
I’m over my head
(Over my head)
It sure feels nice
I’m over my head
(Over my head)
But it sure feels nice

About the Song

“Over My Head” was the lead single, issued as a radio remix, from Fleetwood Mac’s 10th studio album, the eponymously titled Fleetwood Mac (1975). It reached #20 on the Billboard Pop Singles chart in the winter of 1976, the band’s first Top 20 hit in the United States. “I’m So Afraid” was the b-side of the US single.

The remix appears on The Very Best of Fleetwood Mac (2002) and Fleetwood Mac reissue (2004).
