“Let Me Count the Ways” is a track by saxophonist Dave Koz featuring Stevie Nicks and Stevie’s backup singer Sharon Celani on guest vocals. It appears on Koz’s third solo album Off the Beaten Path (1996) and the compilation Dave Koz Collaborations: 25th Anniversary Collection (2015).
About the Song
“There is only one Stevie Nicks…and she’s a true original. I’ve been listening to her for years, and have always loved how she communicates with her voice. I was overjoyed when Stevie said yes to guesting on this song which appears on my album Off the Beaten Path. The day she came in to sing happened to be my birthday. She went out on a break and brought back a cake with candles…and sung me “Happy Birthday.” I’ll never forget it — best rendition EVER! She added such an amazing emotional resonance to this lyric…as she does with everything she sings.” (Dave Koz, 2015)
Lyrics
How do I love you
How do I need you
Let me count the ways
How do I love you
How do I need you
Let me count the ways
Let me count the ways
How do I love you
How do I need you
How do I want you
How do I love you
Let me count the ways
Let me count the ways
How do I love you
Ooh, let me count the ways
How do I need you
Ooh, let me count the ways
