Of course, this generated thousands of suggestions from her legion of fans, who took a deep dive into Stevie’s five-decade back catalog. 50 years! Long Distance Winner! The Highwayman! Talk to Me! Angel!
While Stevie can always unleash a good cover, fans seem divided on whether any of those songs should be included at all for the tour. On the one hand, Stevie has always honored her musical inspirations on stage; Tom Petty (“I Need to Know”), Led Zeppelin (“Rock and Roll”), and most recently Buffalo Springfield (“For What It’s Worth,”) for example. But, with the future of Fleetwood Mac forever cast in doubt, every opportunity to perform seems more precious than ever.
