Stevie Nicks

Summary

Stevie Nicks’ 1989 track “Doing the Best That I Can” is headed to Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping.

A new version of Stevie Nicks‘ haunting 1989 track “Doing the Best That I Can” (Arena Mix) will appear on the soundtrack for The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping. The track will be available with the soundtrack album on November 13, a week prior to the film’s release.

From Nicks’ fourth solo album The Other Side of the Mirror, the deep cut explores a harrowing but resilient journey through fame, fortune, and hardship. In the song, Nicks laments “I didn’t win or lose / I just threw the cards / But I paid a price for it / Well it’s alright baby I’m doing the best that I can.”

Premiering in theaters on November 20, the prequel stars Elle Fanning (Effie Trinket), Kieran Culkin (Caesar Flickerman), and Maya Hawke (Wiress) as younger versions of classic franchise characters. Ralph Fiennes joins the cast as President Snow, while Jennifer Lawrence and Woody Harrelson are set to return.
