On Tuesday, Stevie Nicks performed live in concert at OVO Hydro in Glasgow, Scotland — the final stop on the European tour. Nina Nesbitt was the support act.
The dual 2023-2024 tour, combining Two Icons One Night with Billy Joel and Stevie’s own headlining shows, was not short of any drama. There were COVID cases within Stevie’s band, which resulted in several postponed shows. And, days before the originally-scheduled Glasgow show on July 6, Stevie fell severely ill in the middle of the night and had to be rushed to the hospital, which she explained at Tuesday’s night rescheduled show. She was apparently treated for an infection and remained at the hospital for two days. (Event organizers had previously reported the medical incident as a leg injury.) Stevie mentioned at the show that she’s been recovering from the infection ever since.
Stevie will return to the U.S. to complete two rescheduled shows in Grand Rapids and Philadelphia, wrapping up her 2023-2024 tour, for now.
