In honor of Stevie Nicks’ upcoming Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction as a solo artist next month, Rhino Records is releasing the Stevie Nicks retrospective Stand Back: 1981-2017.
On March 29, Stand Back: 1981-2017 will be released digitally and as as a single CD. An expanded 3-CD set arrives on April 19. And finally, a 6-vinyl LP version is expected on June 28.
The latest release is Stevie’s fourth solo retrospective compilation following TimeSpace: The Best of Stevie Nicks (1991), Enchanted: The Enchanted Works of Stevie Nicks (1998), and Crystal Visions…The Very Best of Stevie Nicks (2007).
Given the scope of Stand Back, it most resembles the 3-disc Enchanted, but nicely updates that package by including several tracks since that time — including more recent collaborations, digital-only tracks, and obscure single versions.
The 50-track compilation follows in the steps of Fleetwood Mac’s retrospective Don’t Stop (Rhino), another 50 tracker, from last November.
Stevie will be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on Friday, March 29, 2019 at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. She was previously inducted into the elite standing with Fleetwood Mac in 1998.
