Stevie Nicks will play Fantasy Springs Saturday, March 2.
As a member of Fleetwood Mac, Stevie Nicks is part of rock ‘n’ roll history. As a solo artist she solidified herself as one of music’s most prolific singer/ songwriters.
All that history will be on display when she plays Fantasy Springs Resort and Casino on Saturday.
Nicks joined Fleetwood Mac with Lindsey Buckingham in 1974 and had an instant effect on the group’s success. The album Fleetwood Mac included Nicks’ “Rhiannon” and “Landslide.”
They followed that up with the classic Rumours, which has sold more than 40 million copies and is the eighth best-selling album of all time.
Seriously, is there anyone who doesn’t have a copy of Rumours? Isn’t “Go Your Own Way” the international breakup anthem?
In 1981, Nicks released her solo record Bella Donna and cemented herself as a brilliant storyteller with “Leather and Lace,” “After the Glitter Fades” and “Edge of Seventeen.”
With a lineup of songs that includes Fleetwood Mac classics and solo staples, Nicks’ show will be like travelling through music history. She is also known for putting on high energy performances that include honest stories about her life in the spotlight as a rock star.
Fleetwood Mac is about to embark on a reunion tour, with stops in Los Angeles and Anaheim in May.
Nicks also recently taped an episode of “CMT’s Crossroads” with country superstars Lady Antebellum. It is scheduled to air later this year.
