Palm Springs, CA (Hollywood Today) 3/3/13 – Opening with a former closing number “Rock and Roll,” was a note of change as Stevie Nicks took to the stage Saturday night at Fantasy Springs.

As a member of super group Fleetwood Mac, Stevie Nicks is part of rock ‘n’ roll history. There was a time when one in four homes in America had a Rumours album on the turntable or in the tape player. As a solo artist/writer, she solidified herself as one of music’s most prolific singer/ songwriters. That comfortable history was onstage Saturday night at Fantasy Springs Resort and Casino as she shared Fleetwood Mac’s hits and her own.

Don’t Stop Believing

Nicks joined Fleetwood Mac with Lindsey Buckingham in 1974 and turned the band towards commercial success. The album Fleetwood Mac included Nicks’ “Rhiannon” and “Landslide.” Then came the classic Rumours, which has sold more than 40 million copies and is the eighth best-selling album of all time.

In 1981, Nicks released her solo record Bella Donna and cemented herself as a brilliant storyteller with “Leather and Lace,” “After the Glitter Fades,” and “Edge of Seventeen.” Fleetwood Mac finished rehearsals last month and is about to embark on a 2013 reunion tour, with stops in Los Angeles and Anaheim in May. Nicks recently taped an episode of “CMT’s Crossroads” with country superstars Lady Antebellum. It is scheduled to air later this year.

With her bewitching, emotionally charged songs Stevie Nicks cemented her status as one of the most distinctive female voices in music today. Producer/songwriter Dave Stewart was one half of the influential pop/rock group the Eurythmics with Annie Lennox. In 2010, these two icons paired up to write and record Nicks’ highly acclaimed album, In Your Dreams. Co-directed by Stewart and Nicks, this rousing documentary charts the album’s creation and peeks inside their unique creative process.

A multi-media entrepreneur, Dave Stewart is recognized as one of the most respected and accomplished talents in the music industry today. Beyond his creative work as a musician, Stewart is a renowned producer, author, director, photographer, filmmaker, and philanthropist. Stewart’s music career spans three decades and more than 100 million album sales, highlighted by his collaboration with Annie Lennox in the groundbreaking pop-rock duo Eurythmics.
