Stevie cancels BIFF appearance, refunds to be issued

stevie-nicks-4e5f022091515Stevie has canceled her November 13th appearance at the Brisbane International Film Festival (BIFF), in light of Fleetwood Mac’s tour cancellation due to John McVie’s upcoming cancer treatment.

BIFF has issued the following statement confirming the cancellation:

Since the cancellation announcement of Fleetwood Mac’s tour, we understand everyone must be anxious to find out whether Stevie Nicks is still attending BIFF. Whilst we were really sorry to hear about John McVie and would like to wish him a speedy recovery, we did however extend an invitation to Stevie Nicks to present her film Stevie Nicks: In Your Dream as planned. We were hoping we could make this happen and Stevie would love to have been with us however, despite our best endeavours we were unable to proceed. Stevie is writing a personal message to BIFF and we will be posting it once received.

The screening of Stevie Nicks: In Your Dreams on Wednesday 13 November will take place as scheduled and the ticket price has now been adjusted to $18 (standard price).

We would like to thank you for your patience in waiting for this update, and we apologize for any inconvenience. A full refund is being arranged via Ticketek for patrons who had purchased tickets at the price of $40. We encourage everyone to now purchase tickets at the standard price, and join us to share Stevie’s creative journey on screen.
