Looking radiant and remarkably youthful, Stevie attended Wednesday night’s film premiere of The Book of Henry at the Los Angeles Film Festival. Donning her trademark black attire and wearing a (rock) star necklace, Stevie posed for a sea of photographers on the red carpet with The Book of Henry cast members. The film opens to the general public on Friday, June 16.
For Henry, Stevie recorded the lovely ballad “You Hand I Will Never Let It Go,” a song written by Guster singer-songwriter Ryan Miller. (See lyric video at the bottom of this page.)
Following the red carpet event, Stevie watched the screening of The Book of Henry and celebrated with the film’s cast at the after party. She schmoozed with the guests, providing inspiration and wisdom for the film’s many young stars. Stevie has long embraced her role as a mentor to the younger generations. Her long list of famous protégés includes Adele, Lana Del Rey, Lady Gaga, Lorde, Lea Michele, Harry Styles, and the School of Rock band, among many others. From the looks of it, being “Rock Mama” certainly keeps her young at heart!
