Miley Cyrus talks about ‘coolest letter ever from Stevie’

On Thursday, Miley Cyrus was a virtual guest on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Miley talked about her latest single, “Midnight Sky,” in which she sampled Stevie Nicks’ 1981 rock anthem “Edge of Seventeen.” Jimmy asked Miley about the sample, to which Miley revealed she had received “the coolest letter ever from Stevie.” Not only did Stevie give her blessing for “Edge,” but she took it one step further by writing “you can borrow from me anytime.”

Sporting a look reminiscent of an early Pat Benatar, Miley performed “Midnight Sky” on the show.

Stevie Says...
If I'm not vulnerable, I won't ever wrote any more songs about vulnerability, and then what am I doing? I need to help people. I need make people believe that it's all right to be vulnerable and to be a little naive, and to be still sweet and kind and good.
