Stevie Nicks performed at the Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View, California on Sunday night. Stevie famously started her music career in the San Francisco Bay Area in the late 1960s, growing up and attending school along the Peninsula. Not to mention visiting “The Velvet Underground,” the clothing store of the stars, back in the day.
Like at the Gorge show, Stevie had a lot of friends and family in the audience but was somewhat prohibited from seeing them in person due to COVID safety precautions. She explained that Team Stevie had to remain “in a bubble,” so tried her best to acknowledge the presence of her lovelies during the “Landslide” dedication. She then offered, “The next time I come back I’ll just have a whole sit-down so we can really discuss the world.”
Vanessa Carlton, Stevie’s good friend and protégé, was the opening act.

“We are in a bubble, which means we are traveling in a bubble. We don’t get to see any of our good friends, which are many here. So the only way we can see them is see them all the way out there. So I have a list, because since I don’t really get to see them, they have to know that I know they’re here. So here’s my list.
“I’d like to dedicate this next song to Brad Jeffries, who you saw dancing with me in ‘If Anyone Falls in Love,’ the beautiful dancer. That made me want to maybe get the stuff to go back to ballet, but not really. Second of all, to Matthew and Amanda, mother of Robin, and father also of Robin. So Robin, this is also dedicated to you because that last song that we played [‘Gypsy’] was actually about your Grandma Robin. And number three, this is neither planned, who is more of those same people. Joanne, Emily, Andrew, Dustin, and Luke, so sorry I can’t just run out there, but we can’t.
“And there are probably so many more people that I know from here that I would like to say something to, but there just isn’t time. The next time I come back I’ll just have a whole sit-down with all of you so we can really discuss the world. So this is for you all, and it’s called ‘Landslide.'”
