Nicolina performs ‘Edge of Seventeen’ for AI Top 20
Nicolina performed an emotional rendition of Stevie Nicks‘ “Edge of Seventeen” in American Idol‘s Top 20 round.
Nicolina began softly accompanied by just the piano, sounding a lot like Stevie would perform the song as a piano demo. She gradually built up steam and belted out the famous chorus that we all love and sing along to: “Just like the white winged dove / Sings a song sounds like she’s singing / Ooh ooh ooh.”
Nailed it, Nicolina!

Katy Perry had a similar critique of the performance, saying “It was just like your perfect blend and like a dash of Janis Joplin.”
Luke Bryan praised Sage’s powerhouse vocals. “When you start singing, it’s like all of time and space just goes right to what you’re giving us. You always just deliver amazing vocals.”

Lindsey Buckingham performs ‘Go Your Own Way’ on AI finale
Lindsey Buckingham performed “Go Your Own Way” with Top 10 American Idol contestant Cassandra Coleman on Sunday night’s finale. The two shared verses on the famous breakup song from Fleetwood Mac’s Rumours (1977).
More than two years since experiencing a heart attack, Lindsey returned to form but moved gingerly for most of the performance. He was able to play his trademark, blistering guitar solos with ease.

On Sunday night, Laci Kaye Booth sang Fleetwood Mac’s “Dreams” on American Idol’s “Hero Tributes.” Despite giving a performance that left the judges stunned, Lacy did not advance to the Top 3 after the live nationwide voting — horrors! But given the voting block likely consisted of viewers under the age of 15, it’s not surprising that teen heartthrob Laine Hardy and Kelly Clarkson-clone Madison VanDenburg ultimately took the Top 2 spots, followed by the artiste Alejandro Aranda.
American Idol picks a winner next Sunday on the season finale.
