“You May Be the One” is Track 11 on In Your Dreams (2011), Stevie Nicks’ seventh solo album. It follows “Ghosts Are Gone” and precedes “Italian Summer” in the running order.
About the Song
“You May Be the One” was the first songs that Stevie and producer Dave Stewart wrote for In Your Dreams, and the first time Stevie had worked collaboratively with someone else on one of her songs.
“When [Dave and I] finished (the track), we looked at each other and I said, you know, that was the first time I had ever written a song with anybody that was sitting in the room with me. So I thought now I understand why Lennon and McCartney wrote together, even though they could write great songs on their own. Each one of them brought something different to the party” (Stewart & Nicks, 2013).
