Stevie Nicks reacted to the sad news of Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins’ untimely death at the age of 50 by sharing some pictures that the two musicians had taken in a studio photo booth. She shared her fond memories of Taylor, writing “He had a huge heart and a glorious smile.”
Stevie wrote the following poem in memoriam:
I am sad now
I am really sad
It’s like rolling thunder
Yes, that’s what I said
It’s like a bad dream~
Comes like a wave~
Gives you a moment
And then drags you away.
Our hearts are broken,
We will never be the same.
As I write these words~
I feel the pain.
But I will always remember~
That the laughter and the fame
Brought us together
To play the game
And we played it, again and again and again
And it was extraordinary~
Don’t forget us, “ T.”
We’ll be right here
In 2013, Stevie worked closely with Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl on the documentary Sound City, where she had recorded the iconic albums Buckingham Nicks (1973) and Fleetwood Mac (1975) with late producer Keith Olsen. For the accompanying Sound City soundtrack, Stevie worked with both Dave and Taylor on the track “You Can’t Fix This.” Taylor played drums on the track.

Stevie, Dave, and Taylor, dubbed “The Sound City Players,” performed the track on The Late Show with David Letterman.
